This stitch is useful in garment construction, and in finishing
the raw edges of any sewing project.
Start overcasting about 1/8”(0.3 cm) inside the raw corner
of a fabric. The right tip of the stitch should just clear the

row edge.

Seam finishing

This stitch is used to finish the seam allowance on

synthetics and other fabrics that tend to pucker.

Place your fabric to allow a 1.6 cm (518") seam.

Trim the seam allowance after sewing.

NOTE

: Be careful not to cut the stitches.

Mending

Position the tear under the needle, so that the stitch
catches both sides.
