Calibration is completed.

• Go into the measuring
mode by pressing the

sample/statistic key.

Important!
Only use standards supplied with the
instrument. These have been calibrated
against officially tested standards and
correspond to ASTM D 523 or
DIN 67 530. Should a standard be
damaged or lost, the

haze-gloss has to

be recalibrated with new standards by
our service engineers as the values of
your original standards are memo-rized
in the instrument.

Haze Calibration

Insert white haze tile.
The haze standard must be clean and
free of scratches.

• Press the

operate key

Note
The value indicated on the haze
standard has been reduced by the
luminance factor (see Chapter 6, Haze
Compensation).

Customer-specified Calibration

For mirror reflection measurements you
can calibrate the instrument using your
company's own standards and define
specific reflectometer values. All future
measurements will then be related to
these values.

• Call the SET UP Menu
and select "Change Cal.
Value" (2nd page of menu)

• press the

operate key

to define "Custom Cal."

• Select desired geometry
