Chapter 5

KX-P6100 Status Display

The Panasonic KX-P6100 Status Display program has two primary functions:

• To let you control certain features of your printer, such as Power Saving Mode.

• To alert you in case of a problem with your printer, for example, if the paper jams

( P. 30).

To display the Panasonic KX-P6100 Status Display window, perform the following.

^ From the Program Manager, double click the

Panasonic KX-P6100 Tools icon.

The Panasonic KX-P6100 Tools window will

appear.

Toolbar-

Double click the Panasonic KX-P6100 Status

Display icon.

The Panasonic KX-P6100 Status Display

window will appear.

Show Print Status Display When Printing

If you select this option, the Panasonic KX-P6100 Status
Display window will appear when you print a document.

Otherwise, the Panasonic KX-P6100 Status Display
window will only display when an error occurs.

Animate Icon

When the printer icon is animated, it will appear to be
printing whenever an actual print job is in process.

Show Toolbar Title

Select this option if you want to see titles for the toolbar
icons: toner saver, EET (Edge Enhancement Technol

ogy) power saving, and density.

Beep When Print Job Is Complete

This option tells the printer to beep whenever it finishes

printing a document. If you turn this selection off, the

KX-P6100 will make no sound when printing has fin

ished.

Beep On Printer Error

This option instructs the printer to beep whenever it

encounters a printer problem, such as when the printer
runs out of paper. If you turn this selection off, the printer

will display an error message, but it will not beep, if a

problem occurs.
