11. DISK
The KX-E4500 disk drive is located on the left side of the typewriter. The disk drive uses 3.5"
double sided, double density disks. Each disk has approx. 720,000 characters storage capacity. That’s
roughly 360 pages of information. A total of 112 texts can be stored to disk.
Before text files can be stored to disk, you must first prepare the disk for use on the KX-E4500.
This is done through a procedure called “Formatting.” When you format a disk, 7,000 characters
are used for programming instructions.
The KX-E4500 has simplified all disk operations through the Main Menu key. All disk applications
are accessed under the Disk selection listed on the Main Menu.
