Using the Mail List to Print Envelopes
As we learned earlier, mail merge requires two components, a
form letter and a mail list. When printing envelopes or labels, you
must first create a text containing only a
CODE + R
and a
RETURN.
This text will act as your form letter, and instruct the
typewriter to print only the first variable. Therefore, when printing
envelopes, you should always enter the name and address as the
first variable in the mail list.
