EGPWS SELECTION

Beginning with EFS software 14,
a dedicated Terrain Select push
button determines w hether
Weather or Terrain data is shown
on the MFD.

When EGPWS is manually
selected via the Terrain Select
pushbutton, the terrain data will
be displayed in the currently
selected HSI/ARC format.

When EGPWS is automatically
(pop-up) selected, the display will
change to:

ARC format, 10 NM range

Automatic selection (pop-up) is
initiated by the EGPWS detecting
a terrain Warning or Caution con-
dition and setting a pop-up dis-
crete. Pop-up is monitored only
when the terrain is selected.

Upon deselection of Terrain
mode, weather data will be redis-
