These guidelines have been prepared for the professional contractor to aid in the installation of:
HIGHGATE VOLUME CONTROL VALVE TRIM WITH METAL CROSS HANDLE (STYLE# HGVC40) &
PORCELAIN LEVER HANDLE (STYLE# HGVC50)
All dimensions are based on original specification and are subject to change and variation.
Please consult your Design Associate for current specifications.

4. Re-install the threaded tube onto the valve.
5. Hold the escutcheon (3) to the finished wall then
thread the handle gland cover onto the threaded
tube to hold the escutcheon against the finished
wall. Make sure the washer (4) is behind the
escutcheon.
TRIM INSTALLATION WITH DIVERTER VALVE:
6. Remove the tile guard and make a mark on the tube
that is 5/8" from the surface of the finished wall.
7. Remove the tube then cut the tube at the mark
made in Step 6. DO NOT cut the end of the tube
with the internal threads. See Figure-03.
8. Mark then cut the cartridge stem 1-1/2" from the
surface of the finished wall. See Figure-04.
9. Re-install the threaded tube onto the valve.
10. Hold the diverter plate† (SOLD SEPARATELY) and
escutcheon (3) to the finished wall then thread the
handle gland cover (1 or 2) onto the threaded tube
to hold the escutcheon and plate against the
finished wall. Make sure the washer (4) is behind the
escutcheon.
