Serial Scale Interface
Serial port 1 can be configured for serial scale input. The serial scale function allows other scale indicators to
send gross, or net weight data to
Counterpart
. Once the serial port has been configured to accept scale data, the
data format can be customized to match the data stream sent by that indicator. See Figure 3-9 on page 28 for
information setting up
To set up and configure a serial scale, do the following:
1. Under the SERIAL menu, select Port 1 and scroll over to INDUST Scale (industrial serial scale) or LFT
(Legal-for-Trade), depending on what is required.
2. Match up the baud rates (9600) and this becomes SCALE 3.
3. Under the SERIAL menu, return to the selected port and set the format under the SFMT parameter to
match the format sent by the serial scale.
