Installing the Riser Board
1. Slide the riser board onto the system board. See Figure 6 -10 .
2. Tighten the two captive screws that secure the riser board to the system board. See Figure 6 -10 .
3. Install any expansion card(s). See " Installing an Expansion Card ."
4. Close the system. See " Closing the System " in Troubleshooting Your System."
Daughter Card
The system uses a daughter card to support software RAID. Hardware RAID systems do not use a daughter card.
Removing a Daughter Card
1. Open the system. See " Opening the System " in Troubleshooting Your System."
2. Disconnect the hard-drive cables from the daughter card. See Figure 6 -11 .

3. Grasp the daughter card and carefully pull it away from the system-board connector.
4. Disconnect the LED cable from the daughter card. See Figure 6 -11 .
