Run the appropriate online diagnostic test. See "

If the test fails, continue to the next step.

Enter the System Setup program and verify that the system is configured correctly. See "Using the System Setup Program" in your User's Guide.

Run the hard drive tests in the system diagnostics. See "

."
If the tests fail, continue to the next step.

Open the system. See "

Ensure that the hard-drive interface cable is properly connected between the drive and the daughter card and/or RAID controller.
