Other Possible Errors
This section explains the other errors that may occur.
Fan Error Message
Fan has stopped spinning:
Please check the fans inside the switch box.
Port Error Messages
The GBIC was removed from this port (Solid Black LED):
Please check the switch front panel for GBICs.
Port is receiving no signal (Solid Black LED):
There is no G_Port board or no GBIC module for this port.
Please check the switch front panel.
Port is receiving signal, but not yet online (Solid Amber LED):
Cable is partially inserted in the port, or the device at
the other end of the cable is not functioning properly.
Please check the switch front panel or check the device on
the other end of the cable.
Port is disabled (Slow Flashing Amber LED):
The port was disabled by an administrator manually via the
front panel, or via one of the management tools.
Port has a fault (Fast Flashing Amber LED):
One or more faulty conditions have occurred:
Laser_Flt: the module is signaling a laser fault (defec-
tive GBIC);
Port_Flt: the port has been marked faulty (defective
GBIC, cable or device)
spyStop
Stops microprocessor utilization monitoring. This
command can be typed in at any time during the
monitoring process.
