About Thick Cable Thick cable, with an outside diameter of 12.2 mm (0.48 in.), is generally
used as the trunk line on the DeviceNet network. Thick cable can be used
for trunk lines and drop lines. High-flex thick cable offers greater flexibility
than traditional thick cable.
About Thin Cable Thin cable, with an outside diameter of 6.9 mm (0.27 in.), connects devices
to the DeviceNet trunk line via taps. Thin cable can be used for trunk lines
and drop lines.
