Troubleshooting
Events
Many events in the Event queue occur under normal operation. If you
encounter unexpected communications problems, the events may help
you or Allen-Bradley personnel troubleshoot the problem. The following
events may appear in the event queue:

No Event
Empty event queue entry.

DPI Bus Off Flt A bus-off condition was detected on DPI. This event may be
caused by loose or broken cables or by noise.

Ping Time Flt
A ping message was not received on DPI within the specified
time.

Port ID Flt
The debounced DPI Pin ID is read as zero or seven after the
module has completed startup.

Port Change
Flt
The debounced DPI Pin ID has changed after the module has
completed startup.

Host Sent
Reset
The drive sent a reset event message.

EEPROM Sum
Flt
The startup sequence detected corrupt EEPROM storage in
the module.

Online @ 125
kbps
The module detected that the drive is communicating at 125
kbps.

Online @ 500
kbps
The module detected that the drive is communicating at 500
kbps.

Bad Host Flt
The module is connected to an incompatible drive.

Dup. Port Flt
Another peripheral with the same port number is already in
use.

Type 0 Login
The module has logged in for type 0 control.

Type 0 Time
Flt
The module has not received a type 0 status message within
the specified time.

DL Login
The module has logged in for a Datalink.

DL Reject Flt
The drive rejected an attempt to log in to a Datalink because
the Datalink is not supported or is used by another peripheral.

DL Time Flt
The module has not received a Datalink message within the
specified time.

Disabled
The module has sent a “Soft Control Disable” command to the
drive.

Control
Enabled
The module has sent a “Soft Control Enable” command to the
drive.

Message
Timeout
A Client-Server message sent by the module was not
completed.

Flt Cfg Error
The module detected a 32-bit fault configuration reference or
Datalink when the drive expects a 16-bit value.

App Updated
Startup sequence detected new application firmware in the
flash candidate area.

Net Comm
Fault
The module detected a communications fault on the network.

Net Sent
Reset
The module received a reset from the network.
25
Net Close Flt
An I/O connection from the network to the module was closed.
