Supported Applications
The following applications have been enhanced to provide IPv6 support.
Ping
The
ping
command supports IPv6 addresses. Use the following format to ping an IPv6
address:

To ping a link-local address (begins with
FE80
), provide an interface index, as follows:

Traceroute
The
traceroute
command supports IPv6 addresses (but not link-local addresses).
Use the following format to perform a traceroute to an IPv6 address:
traceroute

Telnet server
The
telnet
command supports IPv6 addresses. Use the following format to Telnet into an
IPv6 interface on the switch:
telnet
Telnet client
The
telnet
command supports IPv6 addresses, (but not link-local addresses). Use the
following format to Telnet to an IPv6 address:

HTTP/HTTPS
The HTTP/HTTPS servers support both IPv4 and IPv6 connections.
