Is there anything special about using the BigStuff3, GEN3 system with the three (3) valve Ford
Modular Motor?
o
Yes, these engines have three (3) cam interrupt ribs. You must find the rib that lines up
with cylinder # 1 TDC, and then modify (remove) the other two ribs so that they do not
send cam pulses to the ECU.
I already have DAE and want to add the ETM with 3-step option. What wire in my DAE
harness do I use for the 3-step enable?
o
The Turbo Shaft Speed (+) wire becomes the 3-step enable wire.
Can BS3 activate a transmission air shifter?
o
Yes, BigStuff3 offers an optional transmission auto-shift feature. The system will shift
up to five (5) speeds with independent shift RPM and Hysteresis points (see screen print
below). Once the system is configured for the auto-shift feature, a wire from ECU
Header 2 location, M2 must be run to the ground side of the shift solenoid. The shift
solenoid coil must be 70 Ohms.
Why does the following file error screen appear?
Each “default dash” created must be saved in the same BigComm folder, or BigComm sub
folder, that the calibration being used is saved in.
