4. Hang up to terminate the call. The Line LED goes off. If the called subscriber
hangs up first, you can hear the busy tone.
Incoming call on FXO interface
1. 2N® SmartGate UMTS detects a ringing signal and immediately interconnects it
to FXS interface – the phone starts to ring.
2. The CLIP transmitting must provide connected PBX.
3. If you hook off the phone the call is established.
Gateway for extension line of PBX
Extension line of PBX is connected to FXO interface on SmartGate UMTS. FXS
interface remains unconnected.
You have to program parameter “FXO call route to” for proper function on FXO
interface. You can fill in some rows in FXO routing table to reject given calls, for
automatic call routing etc.
Fill in GSM routing table to route an incoming UMTS/GSM calls to FXO interface.
It is necessary to set up conditions for call-disconnect detection from PBX. If
2N® SmartGate UMTS detects busy tone or continuous tone from PBX, it
disconnects the established UMTS/GSM call.
Outgoing call on FXO interface
1. 2N® SmartGate UMTS detects a ringing signal from PBX and, if it is possible to
establish UMTS/GSM call, it hooks off the line after preprogrammed number of
rings. 2N® SmartGate UMTS transmits dial tone and green LED for line starts
flashing.
2. Dial the UMTS/GSM subscriber number using DTMF. The delay between dialed
digits may not exceed 5 s (programmable parameter). The number is evaluated as
complete after this timeout.
3. A short delay follows the last-dialed digit for 2N® SmartGate UMTS to await
further dialing. Then, the dialing end is signaled and connection is established.
4. Prefix of dialed number is compared with filled rows of FXO routing table. The
call is rejected or routed to UMTS/GSM network according to the routing table.
5. If the called subscriber is available, you can hear the ringing tone. If not, 2N®
SmartGate UMTS hangs up.
6. When the called subscriber answers the call, a call is established. The green
Line LED is permanently on during the call.
7. Hang up to terminate the call. PBX sends busy tone to SmartGate UMTS’s
subscriber line, 2N® SmartGate UMTS detects it and disconnects the
UMTS/GSM call.
Incoming call from UMTS/GSM network
1. The CLI is compared with filled rows of GSM routing table. The call is rejected,
or routed to FXO interface – extension line of PBX according to the routing
table.
2. 2N® SmartGate UMTS hooks off the line. If there is filled in the “Dial in”
parameter for given CLI, 2N® SmartGate UMTS dials it using DTMF.
