Boom Control System Check Procedure
Perform the following check with no load (personnel or
material) in the platform from the ground control sta-
tion with the machine on a firm, level surface.
1. Ensure all axles are fully extended.
2. With the boom fully retracted, raise the boom off
the boom rest to horizontal.
3. Position the jib horizontal, jib straight, and platform
level.
4. Extend the boom until it stops.
5. Boom must stop on colored stripe matching the
capacity indicator. If the boom does not stop on
the correct stripe, the system must be repaired by
JLG authorized Service Personnel before the
machine can be used.
6. Push and hold the gray Boom Control System Test
Button on the ground control panel. The lighting of
the green Boom Control System Calibrated indica-
tor indicates the system is functioning properly. No
indicator light or the lighting of the red Boom Con-
trol System Warning indicator indicates the system
must be repaired by JLG authorized Service Per-
sonnel before the machine can be used.
