7. Pre-operational Inspection
At the start of each work day (or 8 hour shift), an
TL39T qualified operator must perform the Pre-
operational Inspection as listed in the table below.
The purpose of the Pre-operational Inspection is to
keep the TL39T in proper working condition and to
detect signs of malfunction at the earliest possible
time.
The TL39T should be in the STOWED POSITION
and the Master Key Switch set to OFF before you
begin this in spection.
Defective parts and/or equipment malfunctions
jeopardize the safety of the operator and other
personnel, and can cause damage to the machine.

DANGER
DO NOT operate an TL39T that is known to be
damaged or malfunctioning.
Repair all equipment damage or
malfunctions, before placing the TL39T into
service.

Platform gravity gate
Check condition and operation
Platform guardrails

Flashing light (option)
Visually inspect (operation)
Ground control switches
Actuate and inspect for proper operation
