4. Use the 25/64th drill bit to finish opening up

the holes. Take your time drilling these holes,

the larger drill bit may catch and distort the

hole. Make sure you do not drill through the

inner panel.

5. Inside the Jeep’s B-Pillar, at the center hole

location, there is a vertical sheet metal flange

that must be trimmed in order to provide

clearance for the nut-sert that will be installed

there. CAREFULLY use the die grinder with

rotary burr bit, inserted through the hole,

to grind away this interior obstruction. Be

extremely careful to not let the tool get away

from you and foul the edges of the hole you

drilled. Test-fit one of the provide nut-serts

into the hole to ensure that you’ve provided

enough clearance.

6. Apply some touch up paint to the areas

where bare metal is exposed, at the edges of

each hole you drilled as well as the grinded

surface inside the center hole. This will aid

in the prevention of corrosion.

7. Using the nut insert tool and the separate

instructions provided, install nut-serts into

the holes you just drilled. Do not over tighten

the nut inserts; this will cause them to distort

and not fasten to the body correctly.

8. You may need to use a soft dead-blow

hammer or rubber mallet to gently tap each

installed nut-sert to ensure that its surface is

flush with the surrounding sheet metal.

9. Remove any protective masking tape

that was applied at the beginning of this

procedure.

10. Install the B-Pillar Cover using the provided

1/4” stainless steel flat head cap screws.

Make sure you place a small amount of

anti-seize on the threads of each fastener.

Do not over tighten these fasteners and risk

“spinning” the installed nut-sert.

11. Repeat the procedure for the opposite side.
Congratulations, you have completed installation

of your JK B-Pillar Covers.
