SAVE SETTINGS
Suppose you share this printer with others who want different control
panel settings.
Since more than one set of user settings can be stored in the printer’s
memory, you can easily reset the printer to your preferred settings after
they are changed. For resetting the printer, see “
RESET Button ” in this
Chapter.
Use the control panel to set the configuration of the printer to meet your
needs and then enter this mode menu to save your settings. Two sets of
user settings can be saved in the printer as follows:
Display Message User Setting
SAVE SETTING 1 Save the current settings as No. 1 in the
printer’s memory.
SAVE SETTING 2 Save the current settings as No. 2 in the
printer’s memory.
If you want to check the user settings, you can print a list of the settings
with the
Test button. See “ TEST Button ” in Chapter 4.

No user settings have been factory set.
FAX MODE
You can use this printer as a Fax machine using the FAX Mode of this
printer. To use this function, you need to download the Fax driver and the
operation manual from the Brother web site. Please visit :

TIME SETTINGS
A real time clock is built into this printer. You can set the time in this
mode.
Display Message User Setting
TIME SETTING Set the time.
TIME STYLE Set the time style shown on the display.
SUMMER TIME Set summer time.
TIME ZONE Set time zone.
