6.7 Pump Replacement
Parts & Tools Required:
Replacement Pump:
Gas Pump P/N 24-1393
Purge Pump P/N 3015-1716
Solderng Iron and Solder
Medum Phllps Screwdrver
Small Flat Blade Screwdrver
Procedure:
1. Gan access to both the gas and purge pumps by removng the rear
case. Refer to Secton 6.1.
2. Unsolder the red and black wres from pump beng replaced. Note that
durng nstallaton of the new pump, the red dot on the pump motor
ndcates the postve (red wre) connecton.
3. Do one of the followng:
• Gas Pump Removal: Push pump latch toward bottom of analyzer
and lft gas pump out from ts mountng locaton.
• Purge Pump Removal: Insert a small flat blade screwdrver
between the purge pump motor and the pump chasss, and then pry
the pump out from ts mountng locaton.
4. Remove tubng from pump.
3. Install new pump by reversng ths procedure.
