4.2 Turning ON the Analyzer and Warm Up
1. Connect the probe and hose assembly, and make sure that the analyzer
s properly set up per Secton 3 Initial Setup.
IMPORTANT: DO NOT insert probe into stack
before turning ON the analyzer!
2. Place the probe n an area that contans fresh
ar. Ths ensures that the sensors wll be
properly zeroed durng the warm-up cycle.
3. Turn ON the analyzer by pressng the I/O
button for at least 1 second, or untl a sngle
beep s heard. Observe that the analyzer’s
frmware verson, model and seral numbers
are brefly dsplayed followed by the Warm Up
screen.
4. Wat for the analyzer to count down ts
60 second warm-up perod; after whch, the
message “NO ERRORS DETECTED” along
wth the oxygen sensor’s output voltage s
brefly dsplayed followed by the dsplay of the
Combuston Test HOLD screen.
TIP: The O
2
value at the end of warm-up is
reported as "Good, Low or BAD". Consider
replacing the oxygen sensor when its value is
reported as "Low".
If problems were detected durng warm up,
the message “ERRORS DETECTED” s
dsplayed along wth a lst of those errors.
As an example, the screen to the rght shows
that the battery s low. Refer to Secton 7.3 for
a lstng and possble remedy for the errors
dsplayed.
TIP: If the sensors in error are not critical to
the combustion test, then press the RUN/HOLD
button to display the Combustion Test HOLD
screen and proceed with the test.
