Important Alert Messages
This document contains important information to be observed in order to prevent damage to users,
bystanders and/or neighboring property. The alert messages and symbols used in this document are
described below. Please read them thoroughly before proceeding with installation.
Alert message
This message indicates a potentially hazardous situation that could result in personal injury
(*1) or physical damage (*2), if the user does not perform the procedure correctly.
CAUTION
Meaning Indication
*1 Personal injury indicates a wound, burn, or electric shock, which does not require hospitalization or
repeated hospital visits for curing.
*2 Physical damage indicates extended damage to housings, household goods, domestic animals, or
pets.

Program and data protection
¤ In preparation for damage to or loss of programs and data, back up important programs and data
regularly.
¤ To store data, observe the following:
· Do not turn off the power during system operation.
· When initializing a storage media such as a floppy disk or magnetic tape, be sure to check in advance
that no important program or data is stored on it.
· While a storage device such as the floppy disk drive or magnetic tape unit is accessing a storage
medium, do not remove the medium.
