6.3 Job Operation in the Image Controller (Image Controller Hold) 6
[Tone Curve Adjustment] screen menu
The following menus can be used in the [Tone Curve Adjustment] screen.
[CW] Rotates the image 90 degrees clockwise.
[Scale Down] Displays the image reduced.
[Scale Up] Displays the image enlarged. Enlargement factor can be chosen
from the four steps: x2, x4, x8 and x16.
(CMYK values view area) When the mouse cursor is placed on the image before adjustment
or the image after adjustment, the CMYK values of the cursor posi-
tion are displayed. CMYK values are displayed for before and after
the adjustments.
(Curve viewer area) Displays the tone curve which reflects the settings in the [Bright-
ness/Contrast] tab and the [Adjust Each Color] tab. Also, the tone
curve can be adjusted by adding points on the curve or moving the
points.
(Vertical axis box) Displays the output density(%) of the point selected at the curve
view area in percentage. Also, the selected point can be moved by
specifying a value.
(Horizontal axis box) Displays the input density(%) of the point selected at the curve view
area in percentage. Also, the selected point can be moved by spec-
ifying a value.
[Brightness/Contrast] Adjusts brightness and contrast. In brightness/contrast adjust-
ments, all colors of CMYK are collectively adjusted.
[Adjust Each Color] Selects the adjustment colors (CMYK, CMY/K, C/M/Y/K). Also, the
tone curve view area and operating colors will be changed accord-
ing to the selected settings.
[Undo] Restores all CMYK curves to the last saved status.
[Confirmation Print] Prints the image after applying the adjustments so that the results of
adjustments can be confirmed.
[Apply] Applies the adjusted tone curve to the job.
[Help] Displays Help.
Status bar Displays the IP address and port number to which Image Controller
is currently connected.

[File] [Login] This function cannot be used when adjusting the tone curve in
Job Centro.
[New Tone Curve] Creates a new tone curve.
[Tone Curve Man-
agement] Displays the [Tone Curve Management] screen and selects the
tone curve to be loaded. In the [Tone Curve Management]
screen, management operations of tone curves are conducted.
[Select Sample] This function cannot be used when adjusting the tone curve in
Job Centro.
[Confirmation
Print] Prints the image after applying the adjustments so that the re-
sults of adjustments can be confirmed.
[Save] Saves the results of adjustments.
[Apply] Applies the adjusted tone curve to the job.
[Close] Closes and exists from the screen.
