Control and status bytes
Control via the field bus is made via 8 bits of I/O data.
Functions and status messages required in operation can be
conntrolled directly ć mostly with single−bit operations.
Record Select
Saved position sets can be processed in the Record Select
mode.
For this purpose, up to 31 position sets are parametrized with
the Festo Configuration Tool or taught via the control panel
during commissioning.
Direct mode
In the Direct operating mode the important positioning data
are transferred directly via the control bytes.
ć Target positions and speeds can be ascertained and
specified by the controller during running time, dependĆ
ing on the operating status.
ć No limitations due to the number of saved position sets.
In both operating modes values can be taught/parametrized
via the PLC.
Parameter channel
By means of the parameter channel, the controller can access
all parameter values of the controller via the field bus.
A further 8 bytes of I/O data are used for this purpose.
