• Emergency Tone: You can set the phone Emergency tone to
Off, or to play an Alert tone, or to Vibrate during an emergency
call (for example, calls to 911).
Samsung applications
Access sound settings for select applications on your
phone.
• Call: See “Call Settings” on page 75.
• Messaging: See “Message Settings” on page 83.
• Email: See “Email Account Settings” on page 88.
• Calendar: See “Calendar” on page 117.
Samsung keyboard
• Sound when tapped: When enabled, a tone sounds when you
touch keys on the Samsung keypad.
• Vibrate when tapped: When enabled, your device vibrates
when you touch keys on the Phone keypad.
HDMI
• Audio output: Choose to have your phone play Stereo or
Surround sounds over the HDMI output.
Home Screen Mode
Select the Home screen layout that best suits your needs.
1. From the Settings screen, touch My device ➔
Home screen mode.
The Home screen mode screen displays.
2. Select the desired Home screen mode:
• Standard mode: A conventional layout for apps and widgets
on the Home screen panels.
• Easy mode: A simplified apps and widgets layout for first time
smartphone users.
3. Touch Apply to confirm.
