02 Preparations for Using APRS

Configure the TX RATE how frequently the status text is sent for transmitting the position packets.

Select Menu 610 (APRS – STATION ICON) and configure the APRS icon.

Method of BEACON Transmission

Select Menu 611 (APRS - BEACON TX ALGORITHM - METHOD) and configure the method to transmit the

beacon.”MANUAL” is the default value. To transmit beacons automatically, set to “AUTO” or “SmartBeaconing” in the

menu.

PACKET PATH

Select Menu 612 (APRS – PACKET PATH) and configure the packet path.
Configure the packet path type.
