09 How to Update Firmware
Checking with MCP-2A (TM-D710A/E, TM-V71A/E, RC-D710)
1 Press [TNC] on TM‑D710A/E or RC‑D710 to display “APRSxx”. Skip this step for TM‑V71A/E)
2 Turn the power OFF. Connect the communication cable to the transceiver itself.
• For RC‑D710, connect the communication cable to the front panel.
3 Turn the power of the transceiver or RC‑D710 ON.
4 Start MCP‑2A and select “Product Information” from the Model pulldown menu.

Note:
◆ The firmware version of the operation panel must be 2.00 or later to use MCP-2A to display the firmware version of the TNC
microprocessor.
Checking with MCP-6A (TM-D710GA/GE)
1 Press [TNC] on TM‑D710GA/GE to display “APRSxx”.
2 Turn the power OFF. Connect the communication cable to the transceiver itself.
3 Turn the power of the transceiver ON.
4 Start MCP‑6A and select “Transceiver Information” from the Model pulldown menu.
