Switch Module Device Name
4. Start the device
Starting the DEVICE object starts both an ATP6100 line-handler process (WAN I/O
process) and an ATP6100 line. The cable between the switch module and the SWAN
concentrator must be connected before you can start the device. In this example the
WAN IOP is named $ZZWAN.#SWITCH1, and the ATP6100 line is named
$SWITCH1.
This example starts the line-handler process and line at the primary node.
->START DEVICE $ZZWAN.#SWITCH1
Switch Module Device Name
When starting SWCI, the device name used for the switch module is not the name of the
DEVICE object but is the name of the SUBDEVICE object.
The form of the SUBDEVICE name is $line-name.#subdevice-name.
line-name
is created when you add the DEVICE object.
subdevice-name
is specified when you add the PROFILE.
