On the Backup Node \BCK

1. Stop all applications that access data on Nomadic volumes.

2. Change the switches.

If you are not using the Nomadic Disk Manager

a.

Use SCF to stop the Nomadic volumes:

-> STOP DISK $nomadicvol

b. Change the fiber-optic switches at \BCK to the opposite position as

described in

Moving the Fiber Optic Switches to the Opposite Position

on

page 5-4.

If you are using the Nomadic Disk Manager.

a.

At a TACL prompt, log on to \BCK as the super ID and start the Nomadic
Disk Manager.

> NOMADIC

b. Use the LISTOPENS command to verify that there are no open files on the

mirror drives of the ServerNet Nomadic Disk volumes (except the
SAFE.GUARD file on each volume, if SAFEGUARD is being used.).

2 ND> LISTOPENS, SEGMENT *

c.

Use the GIVE command to prepare the Nomadic volumes for switching
back to the primary node, \PRI.

3 ND> GIVE DATA

The GIVE command toggles the appropriate switch cards, switching the
volumes back to \PRI.

d. Inform the operator at \PRI that the Nomadic volumes are ready for

switchover.
