Moving the Fiber Optic Switches to the Opposite
Position
Moving the Fiber Optic Switches to the Opposite
Position
A switch card determines the position of the fiber-optic switch: straight or crossed. To
move the fiber-optic switches to another position, do one of the following:
•
If you are using Nomadic Disk Manager, the GIVE command performs the
switching.
•
If you are not using Nomadic Disk Manager:
•
Issue commands from the Switch Command Interface (SWCI) to each switch.
See
Section 6, Switch Command Interface (SWCI)
. The SWCI commands affect
the switch card only if the key switch on the switch controller card is set to the
REMOTE position.
•
Physically move the toggle switches. The toggle switches affect the switch card
only if the key switch on the switch controller card is set to the LOCAL
position.
