Switch Protocol Error Messages
Cause. The response message received from the SCC in response to a switch module
voltage query does not contain valid voltage data.
Effect. SWCI does not work properly.
Recovery. Do the following:
1. Check the configuration of the switch module device and reconfigure if necessary.
2. Check the version of SWCI installed.
3. Power the switch module device off then back on again.
Cause. The response message received from the SCC indicated that the SCC slot is
currently empty.
Effect. SWCI does not work properly.
Recovery. Do the following:
1. Check the configuration of the switch module device and reconfigure if necessary.
2. Check the version of SWCI installed.
3. Power the switch module device off then back on again.
Cause. The response type and result field do not correspond in a response message
received from the SCC. (A normal result is returned with an error response type or
vice-versa.)
Effect. SWCI does not work properly.
Recovery. Do the following:
1. Check the configuration of the switch module device and reconfigure if necessary.
2. Check the version of SWCI installed.
3. Power the switch module device off then back on again.
***PROTOCOL ERROR*** SCC response message: invalid voltage
data.
***PROTOCOL ERROR*** SCC response message: SCC slot EMPTY.
***PROTOCOL ERROR*** SCC response message: invalid response
type/result.
