Removing the Fan Duct
Remove the fan duct when replacing memory, an
optical drive, or the drive cage.

To disengage the fan duct, push down the
two tabs (A). You can push with your fingers
or a pen.

Rotate the fan duct (B) down and out to
remove it from the chassis.
Replacing the Fan Duct

To replace the fan duct, hold the fan duct at a
45-degree angle, and align the bottom of the
duct with the slot on the fan holder.

Rotate the fan duct (B) into position. Make
sure it is securely locked.
