Make sure the following restrictions are followed when you use XP Continuous Access volumes in
Duplex status as XP Auto LUN volumes.
•
Set I/O rates less than 50 IOPS while migrating volumes.
If the I/O rate is 50 IOPS or more, volumes may not be migrated.
•
If a connection failure has occurred between the MCU and the RCU, remove the failure, and
then migrate the volume.
•
If an external volume or a TP-VOL is used, information about the volume is displayed on the
Remote Web Console of the remote storage system. When the volume migration is completed
and the XP Continuous Access Asynchronous pair is suspended and resynchronized, the
information about the volume will be updated.
•
Do not migrate P-VOLs and S-VOLs at the same time.
Timeout of the host I/O occurs if you migrate P-VOLs and S-VOLs at the same time.
•
Do not change the status of the volume while migrating volumes.
While migrating volumes, even if you try to change the status of the volume, the status may
not change.
Restriction for Connecting with Former Model of Storage System
When you connect the storage systems with the following combinations, the range you can specify
for each model is restricted.
•
XP24000 and XP1024 disk arrays
•
XP24000 and XP12000 disk arrays
When you connect XP24000 and XP1024 disk arrays, you may specify the range as shown in

It does not affect to the value whether the model connects as MCU or RCU.
2
To connect to the XP1024 disk array, the microcode version of the storage system must be 21-14-37-xx/xx or later.
3
LDKC number is applied only to the XP24000 disk array.
