Note:
AltiWare and AltiGateway servers have to be on the same LAN. Connecting an
AltiGateway from a remote site to the AltiWare site through a WAN connection is
not supported. The WAN network delay and latency may cause synchronization
signal failure between AltiWare and the AltiGateway.
Managing AltiGateways
Whether you are using multiple gateways or one gateway, you will perform gateway
management functions in the Gateway Management window. See “Minimum System
Requirements” on page 21 for system requirements for multiple gateways. If your
system does not meet these requirements, do not attempt to attach a second gateway
to it.
The Gateway Management window lists each gateway in your system, its number, name
and password, IP address, status, country, and how many IP phones are assigned to the
gateway as a home gateway. Use this window to:
•
Add and delete a gateway
•
Attach and detach a gateway
•
Change a gateway name, IP address, password, country
•
Set TDM Bus mode for a gateway
•
Set CT-Bus clock for a gateway
•
Set whether the gateway is in service or out of service
To open the Gateway Management window, select
System > Gateway Management.
