Under “Log on as”, select This account, and set
<DomainName>\AltiGen_<ServerName> as the account.
In this example, it is QA\AltiGen_GRAPE.
d. Repeat the previous step, but this time, check the “Log on as” account for
AltiGen VM Exchange Integration Service.
6. To ping the Exchange Server from AltiWare and vice versa:
a. From the AltiWare system, open an MS-DOS window, and type
ping
, then press Enter.
For example, type
ping mailserver
.
You should see
Reply from...
as the
response. If you see
Request timed out
, there is something wrong with your
network settings or connectivity.
b. Similarly, ping the AltiWare system from the Exchange server. For example,
from the command prompt in Exchange Server, type
ping telesystem
, then
press Enter.
You should get a proper reply.
7. To check that all Exchange Server Services have started,
a. On the system running Exchange, go to Services:
•
In Windows 2000, select Start > Programs > Administrative Tools >
Services.
•
In Windows 2003, select Start > Administrative Tools > Services
•
In Windows XP, select Start > Control Panel > Administrative Tools >
Services.
A Windows Services window opens.
b. Check the status of the following services to see that they are started:
•
Microsoft Exchange Directory
•
Microsoft Exchange Event Service
•
Microsoft Exchange Information Store
