Specific Shutter Speeds and Aperture Values ( Mode)
• < D>: Manual
• Calculation of standard exposure is based on the specified metering method
(
= 168).
• You can customize camera operation so that turning the < y> ring adjusts the
shutter speed and turning the < 7> dial adjusts the aperture value (= 206).

Adjusting the Flash Output
Choose from the three flash levels in < D> mode.

Enter <D> mode.
z z Set the mode dial to < D>.

Configure the setting.
z z Press the < r> button and immediately
turn the < y> ring to choose the flash
level, and then press the < m> button.
X X Once the setting is complete, [X] is
displayed.
• You can also set the flash level by choosing [X] in the FUNC. menu
(
= 89), or by accessing (= 91) and choosing [Flash Output]
in [Flash Settings] on the [ 4] tab.
• You can set the flash level in < M> or mode by accessing
(
= 91), choosing [Flash Settings] on the [4] tab, and then setting [Flash
Mode] to [Manual].
• You can also access the [Flash Settings] < n> screen by pressing the
< r> button and then the button.
• You can also access the [Flash Settings] < n> screen by pressing the
< r> button and touching [ ].
