Windows Server 2008 IIS Installation
The installation files were saved to the computer when the Windows Server 2008 operating system was
installed on the computer. Since you want to turn the computer into an internal web server, you need to
tell the server that it needs to play the role of a web server (i.e., one that hosts a web site and allows other
users to connect). Follow the instructions below to add the IIS components.
Procedure Details
1. Log in to the server computer as the
administrator user.
Contact your IT department for appropriate user
name and password if necessary.
2. Select Server Manager from the Start menu. The Server Manager window opens.
