Operation
Thoroughly clean the mill before using
for the first time, see “Cleaning and
servicing”.
Assembling the mill

Turn the adjusting ring until the marks
on the adjusting ring and housing are
in alignment (-1).
Place the grinding cone on the square
shaft in the housing (-2).
Insert grinding ring (-3).
Arrow on the grinding ring must point
towards the marks on the adjusting
ring and on the housing!
Only in this position can the grinding ring
be inserted correctly.
Depress grinding ring slightly and turn the
adjusting ring clockwise into the grinding
area (-4).
Attach filling container (-5).

Attention!
If the food processor is not used with
the original bowl, the tool drive cover must
be attached, otherwise the appliance will
not start. If the tool drive cover is attached,
the original bowl cover cannot be attached.
Press release button and move
multi-function arm to position 2.
Insert the bowl:
– Tilt the bowl forwards and then
set it down.
– Turn anti-clockwise until it locks
into place.
Press release button and move
multi-function arm to position 1.
Remove drive cover from the mill drive
(-5a).
Cover unused drives with drive covers.
Attach mill and turn all the way to the left.
To prevent excessive dust formation
when grinding, put the lid on the bowl.
– Press release button and move multi-
function arm to position 2.
– Attach the cover.
– Move multi-function arm back
to the operating position.
Tip: If required, the lid opening can also
be covered with a cloth.
Set required degree of grinding on the
adjusting ring.
Steplessly from 1 (= fine) to 6 (= coarse).
The degree of grinding can be changed
even while the grinder is running.
Note: In direction 1 (= fine) set the degree
of grinding only in small steps to prevent
the grinder from becoming blocked.
Pour the ingredients into the filling con-
tainer.
Max. quantity: 750 g
the marks in the filling container are
a guide and refer to wheat.
Insert the mains plug.
Set rotary knob to setting 7.
To prevent the ingredients from over-
heating, setting 5 can be used for a very
fine degree of grinding.
After using the appliance
Switch off the appliance with the rotary
switch.
Remove mains plug.
Rotate the mill in an anti-clockwise
direction and remove.

Important information
In these instructions for use the recom-
mended reference values for the operating
speed refer to appliances with a 7-setting
rotary switch.
For appliances with a 4-step rotary
switch the guide values can be found
in the following table:
7 settings: 1...2...3...4...5...6...7
4 settings: 1........2........3........4
Important information
Max. 2 kg of ingredients can be proces-
sed in one grinding process to prevent
the appliance from overloading.
Then leave the appliance to cool down
for at least 1 hour.
