AVT cameras: installing hardware
This chapter describes the hardware installation of 1394a/b AVT cameras,
1394 adapters (PC or laptop) and the necessary cabling.
If you connect an AVT camera to your PC/laptop (before software/driver instal-
lation), the following window will appear (example Windows XP):
You have two choices:
•
If you want to use an AVT SoftwarePackage, click Cancel to close the
window. The necessary AVT driver can be installed during the installation
process of the selected AVT software package.
•
If you want to use your own image processing software, ask your image
processing vendor what to do now.
Note
For software/driver installation read the documentation of
the corresponding AVT software package.
