When you are programming SIS commands, certain characters are most conveniently
represented by the hexadecimal equivalent of their ASCII value. The table below shows the
hexadecimal equivalent of each ASCII command:

NOTE: Apart from G (gain) and g (attenuation), upper- and lowercase characters can be

used interchangeably in SIS commands for this product. For example, either “C”
or “c” can be used to set the color value in the

Color

commands.

The symbols (X/ values) defined in this section are the variables used in the fields of the

Command/Response Table

that begins on page 19.

= carriage return with line feed

= carriage return (no line feed)

= space character

= Escape key (hex 1B)

= Input video type

0 = auto (default)

4 = component

5 = S-video

6 = composite

= On or Off status

0 = Off

1 = On

Link 2 status

0 = Link 2 disabled

1 = Link 2 enabled (default)

2 = Daisy chain mode enabled on receiver

= Picture adjustment: color, tint, contrast, or brightness (0 to 127). Default is 64.

= Memory presets (1 to 30)

= Audio gain (0 to 10 dB) Default is 0.

= Audio attenuation (-18 to 0 dB) Default is 0.

= Audio level adjustment (-18 to +10 dB)

= Output video format

0 = Follow input type

6 = Component

7 = S-video

8 = Composite

= Test patterns

0 = Test pattern off

1 = Color Bars

2 = Grayscale

3 = Alternating pixels
