Configuring the MLC Button for amplifier mute
There will be some cases when the audio amplifier's control
voltage is greater than the MLA-VC10 can handle. In those
cases, sound will be heard even when the MLC and MLA-VC10
are at their lowest volume settings.
If the audio amplifier has a contact closure mute feature,
complete silence can be obtained by connecting an available
relay on the MLC to the amplifier's mute terminals. When the
relay closes, the audio amplifier mutes the audio output.
The following section describes how the relay can be controlled
manually with a button. Afterwards, the section "Configuring
a GC2 Monitor for Amplifier Mute" shows how the relay can be
controlled automatically using GC2 monitors.

This section describes how to configure relays with the
MLC 226 IP. The MLC 104 IP plus controller needs the
IPA T RLY4 accessory to implement relays. The
MLC 206 uses different software (see page 3-10).
