Global Configurator

For the MLA-VC10 to work correctly with most MediaLink

Controllers (MLCs), it is necessary to add and configure the

MLA-VC10 driver, using Global Configurator. The following

sections show the basic steps for configuring an MLA-VC10

to work with an MLC 226 IP plus. For more advanced

configuration, consult the manuals that came with the MLC.
The MLC 206 is not supported by the Global Configurator

software. For instructions on configuring this MLC with

MediaLink Control software, see "MediaLink Control Software"

on page 3-10.

Adding the MLA-VC10 driver

To add the MLA-VC10 driver to a MLC, using Global

Configurator, follow these instructions:

1.

Open the Global Configurator program and, at the prompt,

open a new or existing project, as required.

2.

For a new project, add a new controller, IP address and a

name for the controller.

In the pane on the left there are three major subdirectories:

"Control Ports", "MLS Port", and "Control Modules" (see

figure 3-1 below).

3.

To enable serial driver support, click on the MLS Port tab.

4.

Select the Disable MLS support (Enable serial driver
support)

radio button.

Select “MLS Port” tab.
Select “Disable MLS
support” radio button.

MLS Port is a
separate folder.
