About Extron drivers

Extron drivers are control fi les (libraries) of Extron-created IR commands that
are specifi c to a particular DVD or VCR. When you install your DVCM 50
confi guration software, you must also install the IR drivers, which also are
provided on the software CD. Before using the confi guration software to confi gure
the DVCM’s buttons, you must load the appropriate driver for your VCR or DVD
player to the DVCM 50.

The DVCM 50 is compatible with IP Link IR drivers found on the IPL Driver

Package, version 6 or higher.

Pre-confi gured control fi les (drivers) should be used whenever possible. If no

driver is available for the DVD or VCR you want to control, it is possible to
create your own driver via IR Learning (see
Programming the DVCM 50
Using IR, in chapter 3).
