Setting up input selection

To set up for DVD/VCR selection by the MLC 104, do the following:

1

.

Program the MLC 104 buttons 1, 2, 3, and 4 to select inputs. Refer to your
MLC 104 User’s Manual for instructions on programming buttons.

2

.

Place a DVD and a VCR label on buttons 1 and 2, or 3 and 4. (Refer to your
MLC 104 User’s Manual for the labeling procedure.)

You cannot use the same button for both DVD and VCR when the MLC
104 is connected to a DVCM 50.

Buttons 1 or 3 must be used for DVD selection; buttons 2 and 4 must be
used for VCR selection.

Buttons 1 and 2 or buttons 3 and 4 must be used together for DVD/VCR
selection. (You cannot pair buttons 1 and 4 or buttons 2 and 3 together.)

3

. Set

confi guration switch #4 on the rear panel to On or Off to

select the pair of buttons you programmed and labeled for DVD
and VCR selection. (See Setting up buttons for DVD and VCR
selection
, earlier in this chapter, for more information on settings
for this switch.)

4

.

Program the remaining two input buttons on the MLC 104 as desired to select
another input (such as a laptop) or to perform another function (such as Auto
Image).

N

For best results, do not use an SCP 104 in a system consisting of an MLC 104 and a
DVCM 50.
