Time can be adjusted. Increase the factory setting of these parameters for applications
with high inertia.
Start the motor at nominal speed. In case the application does not run well, check the
VVC
plus
PM settings.
Recommendations in different applications can be seen in the following table:

High load at low speed
<30% (rated speed)
1–17 Voltage filter time const. should be increased
1–66 Min. Current at Low Speed should be increased
(>100% for longer time can overheat the motor)
If the motor starts oscillating at a certain speed, increase 1–14 Damping Gain. Increase the
value in small steps.
Depending on the motor, a good value for this parameter can be 10% or 100% higher
than the default value.
Starting torque can be adjusted in 1–66 Min. Current at Low Speed. 100% provides
nominal torque as starting torque.
Check motor rotation
Before running the frequency converter, check the motor rotation. The motor will run
briefly at 5 Hz or the minimum frequency set in 4–12 Motor Speed Low Limit [Hz].
1. Press [Quick Menu].
2. Scroll to Q2 Quick Setup.
3. Press [OK].
4. Scroll to 1–28 Motor Rotation Check.
5. Press [OK].
6. Scroll to [1] Enable.
The following text will appear: NOTE! Motor may run in wrong direction.
7. Press [OK].
8. Follow the on-screen instructions.
To change the direction of rotation, remove power to the frequency converter and wait for
power to discharge. Reverse the connection of any two of the three motor cables on the
motor or frequency converter side of the connection.
Local-control test
CAUTION:
MOTOR START. Ensure that the motor, system and any attached equipment are ready for
start. It is the responsibility of the user to ensure safe operation under any condition.
