Validating Outgoing Moisture And Temperature Readings
Using a reliable grain testing device, you can validate the outgoing moisture and temperature at regular
intervals to ensure that onscreen dry sensor readings are accurate.
To validate dry sensor readings:
1. Obtain a sample of dry grain from the grain sampler.

2. Using a reliable grain testing device, measure the sample’s moisture content and temperature and
note the results.
IMPORTANT: When testing your grain, be sure to use a reliable, well-calibrated grain testing device
that you are familiar with. If you are using a portable tester, always make sure that its
battery is charged prior to testing because an uncharged battery can cause inaccurate
readings. Always refer to the grain tester’s documentation for details.
3. Repeat steps 1 and 2 at least three times and average the results.
4. Compare your averaged results with those displayed onscreen. If necessary, adjust as follows:
a. From the menu pane, click Unload→Dry Sensor Calibration.
b. Set the following parameter:
