Issue 5.6.F

1. Introduction
The Player Control Panel, referred to as Control Panel in this user manual, is the
graphical user interface used to preview and manipulate:
•
clips, record trains and playlists stored on an XT[2] server when the Control
Panel is associated to a player channel,
•
files stored on a nearline folder of the TCP/IP network when the Control Panel
is associated to the OCX Software Player (if the workstation has a valid license
for it).
In conjunction with the buttons on the user interface, keyboard shortcuts and
dedicated buttons on the optional ShuttlePRO controller can also be used in the
Control Panel. The keyboard shortcuts can be customised using the main
IPDirector menu Tools > Define Shortcuts.
The sections from 2 ‘User Interface’ to 2.11 ‘Settings’ provide a detailed
description of the various panes or windows in the Control Panel.
The sections from 4 ‘Loading Media’ on page 56 include procedures on how to
perform the main tasks in the Control Panel.
Note
The IP Media Viewer is a software option which allows using the
Software Player for gigE browsing and file preview in the IP Director
interface. It requires the licence key 70 being imported to XSecure.
Without this code, the Software Player is not available.
For more information on the required licence key, contact the Support or
Sales team.
