LinX and Direct Access
4.1.
Introduction
Xedio “Add-On” for EVS Video Server is based on LinX protocol and XT Gateway. The
LinX Application Programming Interface is an integrated API used to access the EVS
family video servers through Ethernet/IP connection.
Xedio can access EVS video server disks (e.g. XT[2], XS) and use the media stored on
EVS server thanks to XTGateway, provided that they have previously been configured.
Xedio will then be able to see, display, search and access clips and record trains on EVS
video servers. New clips could be created in CleanEdit from EVS video servers.
Two items are available in the LinX category. They are detailed in the table below.

EVS Video Server
Defines setup parameters for an EVS video server which will
be used by CleanEdit to see, display, search and access clips
and record trains.
EVS Video Server
Group
Defines the parameters of the web services used to interact
between Xedio and the EVS video servers.
All the steps below must be followed.
4.2.
General Configuration Parameters
The following parameters must be defined from Softwares > Parameter Profiles > General
> General tab:

Notification Center Address: set the IP address with port 48888.
Example: 172.22.23.9:48888

XedioBroker Address: set the IP address with port 8762.
Example: 172.22.23.9:8762
