Using a microphone
To record high-quality sounds, you can use the internal
microphone or attach an external microphone:
1 Connect an external microphone to the computer, by locating
the microphone jack near the front of the right side of the
computer.
2 Plug the microphone cord into the jack.
3 Turn on the microphone.
You may use the built-in microphone located on the front of
your computer.
4 Click Start, point to All Programs, Accessories,
Entertainment, then click Sound Recorder.

5 Click the Record button.
6 Speak normally into the microphone.
7 When you have finished recording, click the Stop button.
